Eurid Taking Action Against Squatters?

According to a post on WhoisIreland Eurid have put over 73 thousand .eu domains “on hold”.

EURid now confirms legal action against 400 registrars and suspension of domains. Court decision expected in October and EURid wants to make the domains available for registration again.
