According to an announcement on the Swedish domain registry’s site one of their registrars, One.com AS, is being suspended for 30 days from September 14th 2010.
The registry claims that One.com registered domain names using their clients’ data without their knowledge:
During the summer, One.com registered a large number of domain names without being asked to do so by customers. In several cases, erroneous customer information was used. This means that the customers concerned may as yet be unaware of the fact that a .se domain name has been registered on their behalf.
The registrar will be able to maintain existing domains associated with its accreditation, but will not be able to process any new registration requests during the 30 day period. If they do not rectify the situation there is a risk that they will lose their accreditation entirely.

UPDATE: According to IDG.se One.com’s registrations were done in order to protect their customers who could have lost the domain names through non-renewal. They admit that they broke the rules even if their intentions were honourable ….
