StopBadware.org Introduces Program For Hosting Providers

Malware, hacked sites, defacements etc., are all nasty. Getting all stakeholders in the Internet Community to take ownership and ultimately to take action is not easy.

A new program from StopBadware might be a move in the right direction, though ultimately it will come down to how well it’s promoted.

 

In short, hosting providers who agree to certain standards will be able to display a seal on their sites stating that they take action against malware

So far one or two hosting providers have announced their support for the program, but there haven’t been any really “big” endorsements.
