So what happens to a domain after it is registered? Where does it end up? Who uses it? How do they use it?
These aren’t trivial questions, as they provide very clear indicators of how an entire namespace is growing or dying .. If a a TLD isn’t used actively then it will die. And with so many new TLDs to choose from there are going to be some that simply do not succeed.
So the guys over at EUrid have published this graphic to illustrate domain name usage across some of the more popular extensions.
