4 registrars have been elected as representatives to the IEDR’s PAC (Policy Advisory Committee).
They are:
- Michele Neylon (Blacknight Solutions)
- Kelly Salter (Register365)
- Jonathan Bate (Hosting Ireland)
- Conor Moran (Irish Domains)
The PAC will include representatives from other organisations that have been recognised as “eligible”:
- Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources (DCENR);
- Department of Jobs, Enterprise, and Innovation
- The Office for Internet Safety (an Executive Office of the Department of Justice and Equality)
- Irish Internet Association (IIA)
- Internet Service Providers Association of Ireland (ISPAI)
- Irish Computer Society (ICS)
- Incorporated Law Society
- Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC or IBEC TiF)
- Chambers Ireland
- Small Firms Association (SFA)
- Director of Consumer Affairs
- Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys in Ireland (APTMA)
- Data Protection Commissioner
- HEAnet
- Enterprise Ireland
IEDR announced the formation of the PAC at the end of July this year. It is hoped that it will hold its first meeting in Q4 2014.
