EURid, the registry for .eu and .ею, will be removing Cyrillic domains that use the .eu (Latin) suffix at the end of this month.
This isn’t exactly “news”, as EURid originally announced their intentions to sunset Cyrillic domains ending in the Latin suffix back in May 2016.
As announced in May of 2016 and further reminded in June 2018, the Cyrillic domain name(s) with the Latin .eu extension will be phased-out, i.e. deleted, following a three-year phase-out period on 31 May 2019. From 1 June 2019, only Cyrillic domain names with the Cyrillic .ею extension (Cyrillic.Cyrillic) will remain registered.
Mixing scripts ie. having Cyrillic with Latin script is considered bad practice. You can read more about the policies around .ею here.
