ICANN’s CEO publishes updates on the organisation from time to time.
Yesterday his update was in relation to some staff changes.
David Conrad will be leaving ICANN at the end of September. He’s currently the organisation’s CTO and has been heavily involved in a variety of technical projects internally and externally. Marby’s blog post does not provide any explanation as to Conrad’s departure, nor does it hint at where he’ll go next. However it does say that John Crain will be taking on most of the responsibilities.
ICANN will probably announce the vacancy and start some kind of executive search process in the coming weeks.
