Donuts Offers “Extended Flexibility” to Ukrainian Registrants

Donuts Logo

Donuts, who also own Afilias, have contacted registrars to offer assistance with impacted registrants in Ukraine.

Unlike during 2020 when many registries waived fees on RGP and other, concrete, things, this is pretty open. They’re simply saying that they’ll work with registrars to deal with issues caused by the war:

It goes without saying–the people of Ukraine should not need to worry about renewing their domain names right now. As a community, we can unite to support registrants in Ukraine by preventing unintentional domain loss.

Donuts will partner with registrars that serve customers in Ukraine to allow more flexibility with domain renewals.

Please contact us to collaborate on your plan to support registrants. Together, we can build the best path forward.

It’ll be interesting to see what other domain name registries do, if anything.
