Nominet NED Nominations Open

Nominations for this year’s Nominet non-executive director (NED) elections have opened.

This year there is one position to be filled.

As usual the nomination and voting is only open to Nominet members, however non-members can be nominated and elected.

Over the past year or so there’s been quite a few changes at Nominet including the creation of several new ways that members can interact with the organisation. So will the creation of bodies like the UKRAC (.UK Registry Advisory Council) reduce the pool of potential candidates for the Board position?

In any case nominations are open until Friday 17th June 2022. More information is available on the Nominet website.

Previously proposers were able to nominate candidates via email, though it seems that process has now changed to be a web form instead.

While the role is open to whoever gets the most votes from members the candidate pack yet again suggests that they’d prefer a UK resident.
