The .eu domain name registry, EURid, announced on Thursday at their annual registrar event that they would be raising their prices from next year.
From January 1st 2023 the wholesale price of .eu domain names will rise by 25c. The price rise will impact registrations, renewals, transfers and activation fees across both .eu and its IDN extensions. The rise is 6.25%.
While some registrars might not appreciate the price increase this is the first time there’s been a price rise since the launch of .eu back in 2006.
The new pricing will be applied from January 1st 2023.
