APNIC Appoints New DG

APNIC, which is the Regional Internet Registry for Asia Pacific, has announced the appointment of their new Director General. The post became vacant earlier this year when Paul Wilson announced his departure after more than 25 years in the role.

The previous DG for APNIC, Paul Wilson, has joined others in congratulating Rong Low on his appointment.

Jia Rong Low will be taking up the position from October of this year.

He is currently ICANN’s main person for the Asia Pacific region, but will be finishing up next month. In a blog post ICANN’s interim CEO announced his departure, but not his new appointment.
