ICANN has filed a motion to quash in a US court today. The filing is in relation to a court case being brought by victims of terrorism who are trying to get assets of the countries involved. The IEDR have today published their annual report for 2013. While the overall number of new domain name registrations was down on 2012, by the end of 2013 IEDR report an overall increase of 2.7%. Domain deletions during 2013 were slightly up on the previous year, 14.9% versus 14.1%. Neustar, who run the backend registry operations for .us and others, announced yesterday that the .us ccTLD will be adopting the URS from July 1st 2014.
