NIC Chile has updated their domain  transfer policies. Changing the  registrant / holder of a .cl domain name is no longer a billable action effective October 1 2012. Eurid, the registry for the .eu domain name, has released their quarterly results today. The registry's performance over the last quarter has been strong with registration rates up 7.6% compared to the same period last year. Chilean Domain Registry Launch 1 Year Registrations

The Chilean domain name registry (.cl), which is celebrating its 25 years in existence has launched one year .cl domain name registrations. As of September 1st 2012 it is possible to register .cl domain names for either 2 years or 1 year.
